AAM 100 Hours Fundamental PMU Course

By the NJ.gov website in order to practice permanent make up in the state of NJ you need to be an AAM (American Academy of Micropigmentation ) Board Certified artist. Here are the 3 simple steps to become one.

STEP 1

Take a Fundamental 100 hours course from an AAM Board Certified Trainer.

STEP 2

Complete 15 apprenticeships (5 Brows, 5 eyes and 5 lip procedures). If you take our Fundamental PMU Training you will only need 9 additional procedures, since during class you complete 6 procedures that count towards apprenticeship. These can be scheduled at your own convenience and you pay as you go. No need to pay all your apprenticeship upfront.

STEP 3

Take the test directly with the AAM (American Academy of Micropigmentation)

To become an AAM board certified artist, students will be required to perform 9 additional apprenticeship (for a total of 15) each procedure has to be supervised by one of our AAM Board Certified Artists.

Our training requires a total of 100 hours. There is no fixed daily schedule — instead, we customize your training hours based on your availability and pace. Together, we’ll create a flexible schedule that works for you until your 100 hours are complete.

Private 1-on-1 Training

We specialize exclusively in Private 1-on-1 Training. This means all instruction is personalized and tailored to your individual learning style and goals. (We no longer offer group training sessions.)

Total cost of training: $5,900

Deposit:
To reserve your private training, a $2,500 deposit is required at registration. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Because our program is fully customized, we will contact you within 72 hours of your registration to begin building your personalized schedule.

Balance:
The remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your training begins — no exceptions.

STEP 2 - APPRENTICESHIP

After you complete step 1, you will have to do 9 more procedures, each one of them will have a cost of $400.
(These can be paid 1 at the time) and can be scheduled with any of our artists.

STEP 3 - TEST

After you complete step 1 and 2 now you are ready to take step 3 – test directly with the AAM

Training with us is fully private and customized. Instead of fixed class dates, you’ll complete a total of 100 training hours on a flexible schedule designed around your availability.

Deposit

A $2,500 deposit is required to reserve your training. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Once your registration is processed, we’ll contact you within 72 hours to begin planning your personalized training schedule.

Balance

The remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your first scheduled training session. You’ll receive a reminder email prior to your start date.

Terms & Conditions

I understand and agree that my deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
I understand that training schedules are customized. If I need to reschedule, my hours will be adjusted within the 100-hour requirement, but my deposit remains non-refundable.
I acknowledge that failure to pay the balance 3 weeks before my start date will result in forfeiture of my deposit.
A 3% transaction fee applies for debit/credit card payments. To avoid this fee, payments can be made via certified bank check payable to PMU Academy Lash & Brow Bar NJ (delivered at least 3 weeks before training begins).
